Frequently Asked Questions

Please note - this is a cashless event

All food and beverage vendors will be using a tap and go facility which allows for simpler and quicker user experience. This also includes the entry gate and merchandise tents. We can't give cash out or change. No cash will be accepted on the day so load up your cards.


How much are Tickets?

We have multiple ticket packages representing great value:

  •  $29 (+ booking fee) presale. 
  • Kids 3 -17 are $15 (+ booking fee) and kids 3 and under are free.
  •  Family tickets (2 x Adults and 2 x Children) are $75 (+ booking fee) or (2 x Adults and 3 x Kids) are $85 (+booking fee). 
  • Group tickets (10 x Adult GA + 1 x Adult GA Free) also available for $250 (+booking fee)


Can I buy a Ticket at the Door?

Possibly, however, these will be dependent on the demand of the pre-sale, so we recommend that you purchase well in advance to avoid the certain disappointment that will come with missing out.


Where is the event?

We have located the event at Westport Park, on the beautiful foreshore of the Hastings River. Come down for the beer and cider, stay for the view.


What if I don't like Beer or Cider?

Don't worry, we wont hold it against you. This year we will be introducing "The Dizzy Apple Bar" which will be serving a range of beverages that aren't beer or cider!


Will there be live music?

Yes, there will be some some great bands throughout the day. Bring your dancing voice and singing shoes.


What if I forget something at home?

Unfortunately as this is a licensed event once you are in you cannot leave and return. You will be given a wristband upon entry in exchange for your ticket. There will be two different colours, indicating under and over 18 years of age. 


What time does the festival run?

Gates open at 1pm. Bars, food, and coffee will all commence at 1:30pm. Music will start at shortly after and will run until approximately 7:30pm. Gates will close shortly after. Games and activities will be run throughout the day.


All my regular babysitters are already going to the festival?

No problems, children are more than welcome, see prices for Kids at the top of the page. Please note that children must always be with a parent or legal guardian during the event. We’ve arranged some activities so they have just as much fun as the adults.


Will there be games?

Yes, we have a dedicated games area for both the big kids and children. Come and enter the “Keg Toss” or test your skill at Giant Jenga. This will be a supervised and child-friendly area.


It's such a nice day, can I bring my dog/pet?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed within the festival.


It would be great if I didn’t have to drive

You’re in luck, as we have arranged a bus service to and from the festival with selected stops. Please see the TICKETS PAGE for info and link to purchase.


Is there parking at the festival?

Parking is available within the Port Marina car park and surrounding streets. A better alternative is to let someone else drive and take the bus.


Can I bring my own picnic blanket and chairs?

We absolutely encourage picnic blankets however please leave your camping chairs at home. There will be tables and chairs available on site, but its first in best dressed.


Can I bring my own alcohol?

No, it is a fully licenced event. There will be more than enough high-quality beverages to keep your taste buds working overtime. Due to licensing laws bags may be searched upon arrival.


Can I bring in my own food and water?

No need. Free drinking water will be available on site and we have some amazing gourmet food stalls to satisfy your hunger, with options to suit vegan and veggie tastebuds.


What if I need medical attention?

There will be a First Aid Tent onsite and mobile security personnel.


RSA and Duty of Care 

It is our responsibility to ensure everyone has a great day. RSA marshals will be monitoring drunkenness and levels of intoxication. You will be asked to leave if you are intoxicated. Please cooperate; they are there to help. We might just save you a headache in the morning.


How do I pay for all of the delicious things?

This is a cashless event, all vendors will have card facilities but there is no cash out.


With drinking delicious beer and cider comes the inevitability of “breaking the seal”, will there be toilets?

Yes, we will have a range of fully serviced toilets on site for your comfort. 


Can I Volunteer?

Thanks for the offer but we are covered for staff, if we need some more we will reach out.


I’ve lost something, what do I do?

Firstly check you haven’t given it to someone to hold and that they’re not on your head. All lost property will be handed into the Ticket Kiosk for collection


How is waste being handled?

This is a waste-wise event, absolutely no single use plastics, and all other waste will be compostable.

Terms & Conditions

  • Port Macquarie Beer and Cider Festival is a fully licensed event. All persons under 18 years of age must be under the direct supervision of a parent, guardian or responsible adult.
  • Kids tickets must be purchased for persons less than 18 years of age.
  • No refund, exchange or replacement of ticket after purchase.
  • All food and beverage vendors operate under a cashless system.
  • Persons under the age of 18 who are found to be intoxicated or drinking alcoholic beverages will be removed from the festival and possibly prosecuted.
  • Any fence jumpers will be evicted from the festival and may face prosecution.
  • Any persons found damaging the fence or removing part of it will be evicted from the festival and may face prosecution.
  • We reserve the right to add/withdraw or substitute acts within the line up
  • The right of admission is reserved
  • Your ticket will be exchanged for a wristband upon entry. This wristband cannot be removed and given to another person. If you lose, remove or break your wristband you will be unable to get a replacement and you may be asked to leave.
  • Port Macquarie Beer and Cider Festival is a fully licenced event, you may be breath tested upon entry and intoxicated persons may be refused entry or asked to leave.
  • Any persons found bringing food or beverages into the festival will have items confiscated and may face eviction from the festival and prosecution.
  • All bags/containers will be subject to a full search
  • No glass is permitted.
  • Confiscated items will not be returned to patrons.
  • Banned Items include: glass, drugs including synthetic drugs, weapons of any kind, pets, furniture, laser lights, fireworks, flammable liquids of any kind. Discovery of any such item will result in eviction and possible prosecution.
  • Entry is at own risk. The festival does not accept responsibility for any injuries, loss or damage sustained within or around the event.
  • Stage diving, crowd surfing and moshing are strictly prohibited.
  • Aggressive behavior will not be tolerated and could result in eviction.
  • Port Macquarie Beer and Cider Festival maintain the right to cancel ticket purchases of any person/s whom they deem not suitable for this event.
  • Port Macquarie Beer and Cider Festival will run in all weather unless the safety of the artists and patrons are in danger. The festival reserves the right to reschedule the event and change locations.
  • There is no vehicle access to the festival except in case of emergency.
